It all started with an unusual customer request: "Can you make cigarette lipstick?" Initially, I was puzzled, but curiosity led me to explore the idea. This seemingly odd request set me on a path of creative design, numerous trials, and a dash of originality. Join me as I share the journey of creating Lana Del Rey cigarette lipsticks—a process fueled by creativity and determination.
During my research, I discovered that many Etsy sellers were using someone else’s 2013 Tumblr edit of Lana Del Rey on lipstick boxes. I was determined to create something original. Inspired by Lana's glamorous yet edgy style and a pack of Marlboro Reds, I started working on my design. I combined images of Lana smoking and added a red hue. Then, I gave the iconic Marlboro logo a Lana-esque twist—a heart-shaped emblem with her initials, LDR.
Finding the perfect paper for the lipstick boxes was a challenge. I went through numerous types of paper, from glossy to thick and luxurious, aiming for a glamorous look. After much experimentation, I found the right one, making the lipsticks feel like VIPs of the beauty world. Every detail had to be perfect.
The box design was the final touch. I searched for dielines, made countless prototypes, and dealt with numerous setbacks to achieve the perfect print alignment, cut precision, and score accuracy. The end result was a box that truly made a statement. It was a labor of love and determination, creating something exceptional out of an inspired idea.
In a world filled with imitations, I was determined to create something authentic. I wanted my design to stand out and be recognized for its originality. Crafting the Lana Del Rey cigarette lipstick was a journey of creativity and perseverance. It started with a customer's peculiar request and ended with a unique product that proudly showcases my personal touch.
So there you have it—a glimpse into the creation of Lana Del Rey cigarette lipstick. It was a journey of design, trials, and a commitment to originality.
