This button isn’t about the version of America we were handed—it’s about the one we wish existed. The one we imagined. The one we still hope could be real. For anyone who’s still looking, still dreaming, still believing in something better—even if it’s just a dream we had in mind.
Behind the Design:
This one was inspired by the cover art of Lana Del Rey’s “Looking for America,” a song she wrote in the wake of mass shootings in 2019. The original single cover features a street in LA under a dreamy oil-painted sky, tying in with the aesthetic of Norman Fucking Rockwell. I wanted to mirror that vibe—so I used a hand-painted background and a vintage-style font reminiscent of retro American signage. It’s a nod to hope, disillusionment, and the quiet rebellion of dreaming up something better.
